About Dr. Jennifer Taub, Ph.D.

Dr. Taub is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Health Services Provider with more than 25 years of clinical and program evaluation experience across schools, health care settings, and community non-profit organizations. She specializes in therapy with children, adolescents, transition-age youth, adults, families, and couples.

Dr. Taub received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Vermont, where she developed a strong foundation in family therapy, interpersonal and psychodynamic approaches, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). During her doctoral training, she worked with Dr. Harold Leitenberg, mentor to Dr. David Barlow, Founder and Director Emeritus of the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD) at Boston University.

In 2000, Dr. Taub relocated to Boston to complete her postdoctoral fellowship in Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychology at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School under the supervision of Dr. Eugene D’Angelo, Chief of Psychology at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Taub has conducted academic research at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and has taught graduate-level counseling and school psychology students at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She has published in academic textbooks and peer-reviewed journals on school violence prevention, parent empowerment, youth resilience, and bisexuality.

Clinically, Dr. Taub provides evidence-based treatment for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, executive functioning challenges, relationship issues, and family conflict. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal approaches, family-systems work, psychodynamic methods, and other research-supported interventions, selecting strategies grounded in the evidence base and aligned with each client’s needs.

Dr. Taub is an EMDR International Association Certified Therapist and has completed advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an extensively researched method effective for treating trauma and related symptoms. You can read more about EMDR by clicking here. Dr. Taub is also certified in Ketamine assisted psychotherapy, and specifically employs this modality with EMDR to help heal trauma.

She has also completed certification in Imago Relationship Therapy, a structured, evidence-informed model for couples that emphasizes communication skills, empathy, and reconnection through shared goals and intentional dialogue.

Dr. Taub has extensive experience working with queer, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and nonbinary clients in individual therapy and in her work with couples. She also works with poly-identified clients and provides affirming, knowledgeable, and nonjudgmental care.
